Long before Bitch and Bust, there was the WARM Journal, the magazine put out by the Minneapolis-based feminist art cooperative the Women’s Art Registry of Minnesota. The group’s Autumn 1983 issue spoofed women’s fashion magazines.
I have a bunch of issues of these that will be in the reading and resources corner of our WARM Pop! Gallery this week. We are now the Women’s Art Resources of Minnesota, still going strong.
